News (most recent at top):

  • I’ve updated the project due date to Thursdays instead of Tuesdays, to better accommodate students with lab on Wednesdays. Warning: projects 2-4 are now due on the same days as in-class exams, so I strongly recommend that you complete them early.

  • This term we will be using Piazza for class discussion. The system is designed to help you get assistance quickly and efficiently from classmates, the TA, and myself. Rather than emailing questions to the teaching staff, I encourage you to post your questions on Piazza.

Find our class Piazza page at: https://piazza.com/smu/fall2015/math3316/home

  • I’ve written a handout of linear algebra tutorial notes for students who are a bit rusty on the subject.

  • At the bookstore the text costs $318 new, $239 used or $143 rental; online it can be found for as little as $135 new, $145 used or $45 rental (as of 7/25/15).
